We believe that children must be treated as honored guests. They must be shown respect, and their dignity must always be maintained.

Teachers should know the child’s parents and have an understanding of his/her home culture. All families must be celebrated and accepted. Uniqueness is a positive attribute of each child, and we must accept him/her for who he/she is. Every child should know that he/she is a special child of God.

The teacher’s role is to facilitate learning. Teachers encourage learning by asking questions to help the child reflect on what they have learned and by giving positive feedback.

Children learn best through play, exploring their world with all their senses. Learning is fun for children. The more they do, the more successful they are, and that encourages them to go on to more difficult, higher tasks.
